Carpets and other floor coverings can be used in a variety of ways to make your office, surgery or other commercial space more functional and more colourful. The TKO designers love creating designs with carpet and making a feature of the flooring. This is a great way to incorporate your corporate colour into your office space or segregating spaces without the use of partitioning or screens. Creative carpeting and/or flooring can also help with navigating your way through an office space. TKO has recently used carpet as a feature in a number of office fitouts and medical fitout projects.
Baldivis Family Medical Centre
TKO designed and installed a blue and green fading feature tile running down each of the hallways and in the waiting area leading towards the reception desk. This then subconsciously draws the customers towards these spaces due to the linearity of the pattern in the flooring.
ASC Software
The design involved a random floor pattern with four different coloured tiles, three shades of grey and a turquoise blue to bring in the company corporate colour. This created a feature throughout the office while complementing the blue custom designed graphics.
Cubic Transportation Systems
TKO designed and installed bright coloured feature carpet tiles to the meeting rooms and board room. Again, this integrated the company’s corporate colours and also dramatically separated them from the rest of the office.
WA Health Group
The design included a vibrant blue carpet tile to the front of the reception counter and randomly scattered throughout the office and gym space. While it helped bring in the company feature colour, it also drew attention to the front counter and drew people through the rest of the office space.
Feature carpet can really lift your office space to make it unique, sophisticated and fun while still drawing your customers and clients through your office. It can really give your office the “wow” factor it may be lacking
